During our multi-point inspection, we checked the outdoor condensing unit, indoor thermostat, blower, refrigerant lines, control panel, and electrical components. We noted normal wear on the contactor and confirmed the system was running at 6.89 amps, within acceptable range. However, one test showed a momentary 0.25 amp reading, which led us to retest and inspect for any loose connections or abnormal component behavior. The interior of the condenser was clean, and the compressor was free from oil leaks or burnout indicators. Power was confirmed stable at the outdoor disconnect.
We replaced the capacitor to ensure stable power delivery to the compressor and fan motor. We also verified thermostat operation, refrigerant charge, motor amps, and the disconnect box status. After the electrical refresh, all wiring connections were re-secured, and we confirmed no shorts or burn marks on the contactor. We ran the system through multiple cooling cycles to ensure full operation under load.
This system is now ready to handle the summer season with confidence. With electrical reliability restored and amperage checked, the homeowner can enjoy consistent indoor comfort.
