During this service visit, the Bob’s Repair team performed a full dryer vent cleaning for a home in Las Vegas. The goal was to eliminate accumulated lint, debris, and obstructions from the vent system to restore airflow, improve dryer performance, and reduce the risk of overheating or fire.
Our initial airflow test confirmed restricted ventilation from the dryer to the roof exhaust. Upon inspecting the vent system, we found a significant buildup of lint, dust, and hair inside the vent pipe—particularly near the termination point on the roof. The inside of the duct was coated with thick debris, and multiple clogs had reduced exhaust airflow. This buildup can cause longer dry times and puts unnecessary strain on the appliance.
We used a combination of drill-powered brushes and compressed air tools to sweep and blow out the entire vent duct system. The cleaning began at the dryer connection point and extended through the entire duct up to the roof exhaust cap. After cleaning, we conducted a second airflow test to confirm that the vent was clear and that the dryer could exhaust air efficiently.
