Luis Perez
The Heart of Bob's Repair

Rising Through the Ranks:
From Technician to Manager
Luis’s dedication and excellence have propelled him from technician to a key leadership position at Bob’s Repair. Today, as both Installation and Service Manager, he oversees more than 25 field technicians, managing everything from routine maintenance to complex installations. His journey showcases how commitment to excellence opens doors to growth – both personal and professional.
“When I started, it was just a small team,” Luis recalls. “Through hard work and continuous learning, I’ve grown alongside the company.” His EPA Universal certification and expanding skillset, most recently including solar installation, reflect his belief that “in this trade, you never stop learning.” This commitment to growth has not only advanced his career but strengthened Bob’s Repair’s capabilities, allowing us to serve our customers better.
Building Bob's Repair's Next Generation
What truly sets Luis apart is his commitment to developing others. When Bob’s Repair began hiring technicians fresh from trade school, Luis noticed a gap between classroom learning and real-world challenges. He took the initiative to create a comprehensive training program, working side-by-side with technicians for full eight-hour shifts.
“Schools give you the technical knowledge,” Luis explains, “but when it comes to real problems, that’s where most new technicians need help.” His dedication to training has dramatically improved our team’s efficiency – installation times have been cut nearly in half through his mentorship.

Family Values at Work
As a father of four, Luis brings strong family values to everything he does at Bob’s Repair. “My father taught me about responsibility and sharing knowledge,” he says. “Now, I want my children to see that people can rely on me, whether it’s at 2 PM or 7 PM – if someone needs help, I’m there.”
This commitment to service extends to his neighbors too. Since getting his Bob’s Repair van, Luis has become a trusted resource in his community, often helping elderly neighbors and families with their HVAC needs, and coordinating with our team to provide special assistance when needed.

A Legacy of Excellence
Luis’s motto – “How you do one thing is how you do everything” – has become legendary among our technicians. His attention to detail, whether it’s visible to customers or hidden in an attic, sets the standard for excellence at Bob’s Repair.
“Luis is incredibly humble,” says Edgardo Ureta, a colleague at Bob’s Repair. “For everything he says he does, he actually does five or ten times more. That echoes through everything he does, both on the install and service divisions.”
Leading with Positivity
Despite the challenges that come with managing a growing team and handling emergency service calls, Luis maintains an infectious positive attitude. “Every day when he wakes up in the morning, it doesn’t matter if the day has a really bad start – he shows up smiling,” notes JC Pauli, Air Quality Manager.
This positivity, combined with his technical expertise and dedication to customer service, has been crucial to our company’s growth. As Frederick, our founder, often says, “Bob’s Repair wouldn’t be where it is today without Luis.”

From the CEO
” When not leading our technical team or training the next generation of HVAC professionals, Luis focuses on his family and continues expanding his skills, most recently in solar installation. His story embodies Bob’s Repair’s commitment to excellence, family values, and continuous improvement. “
