Air Duct Cleaning Cost in Las Vegas: A Two-System Home in North Las Vegas

In Bob’s recent Las Vegas jobs, air duct cleaning has run $498 to $598. Prices vary with the equipment and what testing finds, mainly how many systems and vents the home has and how much buildup is inside the ducts. On September 15, 2026, at a North Las Vegas home in the 89084 ZIP, we cleaned the ducts and tuned up both of the home’s AC systems in one visit. The return box was packed with dust, and the flex ducts were coated inside.

What We Found

The home runs two AC systems, with two York condensers side by side outside. Behind the return grille, the frame was dark with dust and the duct opening was coated. The metal return box was streaked with dust, and the inside walls of the flex ducts were speckled gray from end to end.

How We Fixed It

  • Cleaned the supply and return ducts.
  • Cleaned out the return box and the area behind the return grille.
  • Ran an AC tune-up on each of the two systems, including the outdoor units.
  • Wrote up recommendations for each system based on what the tune-ups found.

How it turned out

The ducts and return box were cleaned, both systems were tuned up, and the Nest thermostat was set to cool to 72.

What does duct cleaning cover for that price?

A full cleaning covers the supply runs, the return ducts, the registers, and the return box, where dust collects first. Dryer vent cleaning and cleaning the coil or blower are usually separate line items, so ask what’s included when you compare quotes.

How often should ducts be cleaned in Las Vegas?

Every few years is a common rule of thumb, sooner with pets, recent remodeling, or the fine desert dust that gets into attics here. Dust that settles again a day or two after you clean is a sign the ducts are due. Our guide to why a Las Vegas house stays dusty covers the other causes.

Is it worth pairing duct cleaning with a tune-up?

It makes sense. The tech is already in the system, and a dirty coil or blower can send dust right back into clean ducts. A tune-up checks those parts along with the refrigerant side and electrical parts.

Safety note: HVAC repairs involve high voltage, refrigerant and, on gas furnaces, combustion gases. Leave them to a licensed technician.
